  • 8 pieces of chicken (a mix of thighs, drumsticks, and wings)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.

  2. Place the buttermilk in a separate bowl.

  3. Dip each piece of chicken in the buttermilk, making sure it is coated well.

  4. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, pressing the flour onto the chicken to make sure it sticks.

  5. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large, deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350-375°F.

  6. Carefully place the chicken in the hot oil, being sure not to overcrowd the skillet or pot. Fry for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.

  7. Use tongs to remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a wire rack to drain excess oil.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious KFC-style fried chicken!
