Recipe of cooking Creamy chicken Bacon pesto pasta
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces (225g) fettuccine or penne pasta
- 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 3 tablespoons pesto sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream to the skillet. Stir in the pesto sauce and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta, cooked chicken, and crumbled bacon to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are coated in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring gently, until everything is heated through.
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Serve the creamy chicken bacon pesto pasta hot and enjoy!
