Recipe of cooking chicken patiala
Ingredients:
- 500 grams chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator for best results.
Heat oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add the pureed tomatoes to the pan and cook for a few minutes until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another minute to roast the spices.
Add the marinated chicken to the pan along with the marinade. Mix well, cover the pan, and cook on medium-low heat for about 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Once the chicken is cooked, sprinkle garam masala over it and give it a final stir.
Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves. !enjoy the dish.
